How To Put Joy In The Crazy Journey Of Your Life
Updated: Apr 6
I hope this post will teach you how to put joy in the journey of life. We will all go through a trial that drops us to our knees. When pain happens to us, we may not know the way forward or how to fix the problem. I can promise you that healing takes time, and there’s no need to rush to feel better.
Instead, It is better to put some perspective on the problem to help you feel better when it is time. This post is my letter to those going through something, the heartbroken and the lost. No matter the situation, we can still find joy in the journey or a better perspective on life’s problems.
What is Joy, and how do you put joy in your Journey?
Having joy in the journey is different from having happiness. Happiness is an essential state of emotion that can come and go. Happiness is more fleeting; it’s here one day and gone on your worst day.
We get happy as humans very often. We can be pleased over a gift. Or a joke a friend tells us. We can be comfortable spending time with loved ones. I am happy when I get to play my favorite playlist of songs.
Having to put Joy in the life choices we make helps us to be satisfied even when unsure of the future. Joy is choosing to be happy, requiring a bit of faith. Joy needs confidence and a foundation to know that no matter what happens, you will be okay.
One of my favorite bible verses is Nehemiah 8:10 . The verse says,” Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” I rely on the God I serve to put joy in the journey when I experience hard times. I enjoy knowing he will never leave or forsake me in hard times.
You have to think of life as a series of hills and valleys. We flow from hill to valley in a repeated cycle. When you are on the hilltop of life, You are high up. Everything is working well for you. You have no complaints, and life seems to be good.
However, you may face some trials and problems in the valley. This is when putting joy in the journey counts the most. You may feel that nothing is going right in your life. You will need the wisdom to know that your next hill is right around the corner because you are in the valley. When in the valley of life, your next blessing, your next moment of joy, follows that one moment of sadness.
It means what the bible says in Psalms 30:5: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Why? Because this is how life works. We have hard times; this is the only way to find joy in the good times.
Why We Need To Put Joy In The Journey Of Life
To overcome the pitfalls of life. We will need joy in the journey of life that we walk. Joy can help us find the strength we need to fight another day. It is helpful to have the joy of being productive members of society. It can be effective to love our families in hard times.
Joy in the journey is beneficial with monotonous tasks such as going to work. Joy helps us to do the things that seem unimaginable, like supporting a sick person in the hospital. We need joy in the journey of helping those less fortunate than us. With this tool, we can give and show mercy to others from our hearts. We can learn the true meaning of gratitude.
We need joy in the valley of life. I stated that the valley of life is when we feel our lowest. We can make bad decisions when we are at our lowest energy. Feeling down can lead to bad choices that we may later regret.
It is okay to grieve and be sad in the valley of life. It is okay to go through the stages of grief when it feels like life is too difficult to endure. But, what I want you to do, is not stay there.
In life, we must process our feelings and cry when it’s time to so we can process our hurt and pain. Then, we must get up, dust ourselves off, and find a way to move forward. If you do anything, promise yourself that you will move forward when you are ready.
Please pick up your joy and carry it with you, knowing you are strong enough to handle another day. Choose Joy to help you get through. Choose Joy to move forward, and choose joy to find that silver lining in the outcome.

Joy For The Remaining Journey of Life
People’s prevalent saying is, “A setback is a setup for a comeback.” The phrase is valid for life, no matter what you may go through. I can promise that everything we do and go through has a purpose.
It all comes together by the end of your life. You will see the meaning in everything that happened and why it happened. You will learn that you have a fighter in you. You will be a fighter who was better off after each battle.
I heard a quote by a Pastor Called T.D. Jakes, that blew my mind one day. The selection came from a video on YouTube when he was promoting his book “Don’t Drop The Mic.”
The passage says, “Crawling against the resistance of the adverse wins against the gravitational pull of mediocrity.”
I can’t tell you how many times I have been down in life and chose to get up again. But on the other hand, I felt hopeless plenty of times but continued.
For some, when we get knocked down by life. We never get up again. We never move on from the point of hurt. We never reshape who we are because of the pain. But getting up again helps pull you to a greater purpose. Getting up again renews who you are and your strength.
I hope no matter what happens to you, you decide to get up again. I hope you put joy in your journey to fight on through life. Life is full of trials, and we won’t go through them once but many times in our lives.
I hope this post encourages you, and you can refer to it whenever you are hurt. To know that you are not alone, that you are enough, and you’re loved. Let it be a reminder that everything you go through makes a path and a way to the perfect ending of your story.
