There is also a vast difference between cockiness and confidence. What is confidence? The state of feeling sure about the truth of something.
You need the confidence to pass a job interview, create the next big thing, or stick up for yourself for the first time. Confidence brings out a bolder side of you, and some journeys require boldness.
It’s essential to feel good about yourself. It would be challenging to know who you are if you never considered your creator. Which means you are made for a purpose. If you are not sure, consider how different we are as people.
We have different thumbprints, different colors, and different gifts as people. The better you know yourself and God, the quicker you can make much-needed changes. I think we all can think of one thing we would like to make better in our lives.
Who Are You In Jesus Christ?
Let’s discuss who you are in Jesus Christ and start a firm foundation for your confidence. No one can take or discourage your identity when you know who you are in Christ. You will have confidence in knowing who you are.
Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created mankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
God made us in his own image. Before you critique your hair, nose, or feet, know that you were created in God's likeness and image, and you were created to perfection.
Galatians 3:26 says,” So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith.”
If you have faith in who God is, you are a child of God. That means that god will love and take care of you as one of his own. The good news about God is that he never changes. You will never have to worry about God leaving you out of judgment or some silly quarrel.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
If you accept Christ into your life, you are a new creation. That means God doesn’t look at your past but focuses on now and your developing future. God knows your potential and who you can be in your life. He will speak good things into your life so they can come to pass.
Lastly, Isaiah 43:4 says, “ Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you.”
Know that you are precious and honored in God's sight. He loves you and Cares for you more than I can articulate. In my life, I have seen his love for me, and it is more than I can explain or imagine.
Matthew 6:25-34 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Lastly, God cares for you and will provide for you. Are you not more valuable than birds or the flowers in a field? God will provide for you and care for you the same way he does all the creatures he created.
I have known God in all these ways since following him. It has put into perspective that God is not a God of only rules and judgments but a God who is holy, righteous, and loving. That is the God I served, although I have been through a lot of abandonment by people.
He has shown me a lot of love and healed every wound. See, sometimes we think that God has hurt us, but it has been people who may lack the ability to walk with the Holy Spirit who harm us. Once we have the Holy Spirit and walk with God, He transforms us into his likeness.
So we start to treat people less than they deserve, for anyone who is church hurt. I want to apologize for your situation and those who have hurt you. I ask that you think about what I have said. Don’t let anyone stop you from experiencing the fullness of God!
