3 Tips To Learn New Skills And Secure Your Future Finances

Updated: May 16

We are living in a time of significant Change. The millennial generation will see far more change over our lifetime than the previous generations. I wanted to help people learn to skill up and learn new things.

This will help us stay ahead of the curve, ensure we are not left behind, take control of our lives, and be able to provide for ourselves and our families. We are currently seeing AI and robots come forward, but we are also seeing a shift in our society, where people are returning to self-sufficiency.

There is a reason for this great change, and it will all make sense later. We were made to be here during this time and, therefore, born into this era of change.

Using The Skills That God Gave You.

God has given you a specific gift or set of gifts. Try to use the gifts he has given you before starting a new set of skills if you are a singer, writer, speaker, leader, nurturer, or business leader.

Use the skills God gave you and implement them. Let God help you perfect your skills or craft. Perfect them until you are the only person people use for the Job.

Daniel 1:7 in the bible says, “To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.”

God gave Daniel knowledge and an understanding of dreams and visions. Daniel used that gift to Interpret a dream for King Nebuchadnezzar. One Day, you will need the skills and gifts God has given you.

The Bible says your gift will make room for you, which means your gift will open doors for you. Your skills were given for your purpose and to bring glory to God. I want you to take time every week to spend a few hours perfecting your gift.

Use Who God Made You To Be To The Fullest Extent.

I recently heard a very inspiring story about George Washington Carver. George was a

Orphaned infant during the time period when slavery was abolished. He had a Keen Interest in plant specimens and nature.

He grew up developing hundreds of ways to use the peanut.  But what most people don't know is he credits God for his success in life.  He used to walk in the woods daily, talking to God and asking him questions. His story is a classic example of how God directs your path when you have a relationship with him and gives him control of your life. Here is a quote from him:

I asked the Great Creator what the universe was made for.‘Ask for something more in keeping with that little mind of yours,’ He replied.‘What was man made for?’‘Little man, you still want to know too much. Cut down the extent of your request and improve the intent.’”

Finally, Carver asked God to teach him all about the peanut, but even this was too high a request for the human mind. Calling Genesis 1:29 to Carver’s mind, God reminded him that He’d given mankind peanuts and other plants for their use. So God sent Carver back to the laboratory with a supply of peanuts in hand. There, Carver broke the peanut into its various parts: water, fats, oils, gums, resins, sugars, starches, petoses, pentosans, amino acids. Then he mixed the ingredients in various ways, sometimes applying heat or pressure to the mixtures.

With God's help you can use your skills and gifts to live out a profound life. God made you and knows exactly who you are. He doesn't need convincing, but he can bring you to your purpose and convince you in the fullness of who you are.

He can also guide you to the correct skills to learn in the future. He knows what you will need to know now and for later. Partner your skills with God and ask him exactly what you need to know.

Learning New Skills to Stay Ahead of the Curve.

If you do not know your gifts or talents, ask God to reveal them. Truly gifted people sometimes don't see themselves as talented.

Sometimes, people will tell you what you are good at before you realize it. If you feel like you do not have enough skills. Be sure to keep up with current events.

Think outside the box. Find a skill that few people are aware of. Trade is something many people no longer do. Be encouraged and believe you can use the skill to transform your life and others.

When COVID-19 happened, many people dropped out of the labor force but had no skills to pivot their careers to something they might like more. People not only make money with a specific skill set, but they also help others do the same.

Once you learn something new, no one can take it from you. This is why I love learning. Learning always puts me ahead of others who may not know or who do not try to learn. Wisdom tells us to prepare for the obstacles we may face in life.

I am glad I have the opportunity to pour into you. I want you to know with Jesus and the Wisdom you can gain in the bible. God Will help you with any obstacle you may see because he will prepare you for what's to come.

Lastly, I hope this article helps you learn new skills to live a blessed and abundant life. I hope you can take your unique gifts and that it provides a life you can be proud to have. We all deserve to have a good life.
